Oracle to Acquire Siebel

This move was pretty obvious to those following the CRM space for the past year or so. Tom Siebel likes it, which just proves that he's really retired. The more appropriate take, I think, is from SalesForce.com's Marc Benioff:

“Now, the same thing that happened to Peoplesoft will happen to Siebel, it will die.”

Yet another purchase of a customer list and maintenance revenue by Larry Ellison...
