Oracle Lowers Upgrade Hurdle For Some PeopleSoft And J.D. Edwards App Users
At my current client, we were told recently that we would need to perform an upgrade to the 8.9 product to get to Fusion...which we are currently undertaking (although it's not the only reason). I wonder if the decision process would have been different with this little piece of information...

I think at the present time Oracle is in full "keep the current customers happy" mode, so that means I take anything they say about anything with a large grain of salt. They will pretty much say anything to keep the SAP sales force away from the large accounts. In my mind, it's unlikely they will deviate from what's made them successful over the years, which means they will still employ the 800-lb gorilla technique wherever they can.
